Paperwork
Please pay close attention to this section as it is related to legal matters and laws that the contestants, attendees, and producers of America's Got Talent must follow.
Release Info and Identification
All applicants and supporters who will be present at an in person, or virtual open call, must complete the required paperwork and have a valid photo ID with them. If a contestant or accompanying supporter is under 18 and not attending with their parent or legal guardian, they must bring completed minor consent forms. Without this paperwork, they will not be admitted. After you register for your audition, you’ll receive a confirmation email. The day before your scheduled audition, you will receive your ticket.
Solo Performers or Small Groups (5 Members or Fewer)
The easiest way to complete and sign the required release form is electronically on a desktop computer. The form may not be compatible with all mobile devices. To sign electronically, log in to your Performer Profile using your email and password and follow the link to access and complete the Electronic Personal Release Form
If you're part of a group:
Only one person needs to register the group. After registration, gather together and finish the eSign paperwork.
If electronic signing isn’t possible:
You may download, print, and complete the release form by hand and bring it with you to the audition.
Large Groups (More Than 5 Performers)
Only one member of the group should register online. This person will serve as the primary contact for all audition-related information. Every group member must bring a valid photo ID and a completed Personal Release Form to the audition. If anyone in the group, including supporters, is under 18 and not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, they will also need to bring additional Minor Release paperwork (see additional details below).
Supporters (Friends & Family)
Supporters are welcome to attend the audition day but will not be allowed in the actual audition room (unless they are the parent or guardian of a minor performer). As a supporter you still must show a valid photo ID and complete the Personal Release Form.
Important Information About Minors
All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to attend the auditions. Both the minor and the accompanying parent or guardian must complete the Personal Release Form. This can be done by logging into the Performer Profile to e-sign the form, or by downloading and printing it to bring on audition day. Minors must present a valid photo ID. Acceptable forms include a school ID, passport, or a yearbook page featuring the minor’s photo and name, along with a birth certificate. For young children who don’t have a photo ID, the parent or guardian must present their own photo ID and provide the child’s birth certificate showing both names. If a minor is unable to attend with their parent or legal guardian, they must select a different audition date when their parent or guardian can be present.
Performing or Non-performing Minors in Attendance
Whether a minor is a performer, assistant, or supporter, the following rules must be followed:
The minor must be supervised by a designated third party (such as a coach or family friend) who is at least 21 years old.
The minor’s parent or legal guardian must complete the Guardianship and Medical Authorization for Minors Form and have it notarized. This form must be brought to the audition by the third-party guardian.
The minor’s parent or legal guardian must also designate the third-party guardian on page 3 of the Personal Release Form. This section must be signed by both the parent and the designated guardian during the notarization process.
