AGT Video Audition FAQ

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT MY VIDEO?

Your video will be reviewed by the AGT producers. If selected, a producer will contact you to schedule the next round. Final decisions will be made by Spring 2026.

DO I NEED TO AUDITION IN PERSON IF I SUBMIT A VIDEO OF MY ACT?

No. If you submit a video through our site, attending a Virtual or In Person Open Call is not required. Your video will be fully reviewed by the producers. Submitting multiple auditions is not recommended, as it won't improve your chances. However, if you prefer a face-to-face meeting with the producers, you can attend a Virtual Open Call instead of submitting a video. Keep in mind, submitting multiple auditions won't increase your prospects.

ARE MY CHANCES THE SAME IF I DON’T ATTEND AN OPEN CALL AND JUST SUBMIT A VIDEO?

Yes. Many acts are discovered through video submissions. While producers enjoy meeting performers, submitting a video is a great alternative if you cannot attend a Open Call. All methods are equally considered.

I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE WHEN I TRY TO REGISTER.

This usually happens if you're already registered with the same email. Instead of registering again, sign in using the "Sign In" option.

CAN YOU USE MY FOOTAGE FROM LAST YEAR’S AUDITION OR THE VIDEO I SENT IN LAST YEAR AS MY AUDITION?

No. Each season requires a new submission. Please re-submit your video or attend an Open Call to be considered for the current season.

I AM TRYING TO UPLOAD PHOTOS BUT I GET AN ERROR OR AM HAVING ISSUES.

Ensure your photo file size is 5MB or less and that it's in JPG, GIF, or PNG format. If the issue persists, try using different web browser such as Chrome or Firefox.

WHAT ARE THE TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR MY VIDEO SUBMISSION?

  • Length: Keep your audition video under 2 minutes.

  • Size: Maximum file size is 500MB.

  • Orientation: Landscape (horizontal) orientation is preferred.

  • Lighting & Sound: Ensure good lighting and clear audio.

  • Performance: Perform in front of a neutral background when possible.

WHEN WILL I HEAR BACK?

Due to the high volume of submissions, we cannot confirm receipt of individual videos. Rest assured, every submission is reviewed. Only those selected to move forward will be contacted by a producer to schedule the next round. If selected, you will hear from us by Spring 2026.
